"Stand Out" is a song from Disney's A Goofy Movie. R&B artist Tevin Campbell portrayed a pop star named Powerline in the film. He sang several songs in the film including "Stand Out." The song is about believing in yourself. "Some people settle for the typical thing / Livin' all their lives waitin' in the wings / It ain't a question of if / Just a matter of time / Before I move to the front of the line." Although the film wasn't a big hit in theaters, once it hit home media it gained a bit of a cult following. At the 20th anniversary of its release in 2015, cast members appeared at the D23 fan event (D for Disney and 23 for 1923 when Disney started the company) at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. They were shocked when their panel was the most attended with many people having to be turned away due to lack of seating.
